Surveys are coming!

For those of you following along at home, I said I'd get the surveys out by the end of the month.  It turns out a case of Corona (no, not the good kind) decided otherwise.  The virus knocked me out for a rough few days and threw my timelines all out of whack.  Sorry for dropping the ball on this one! 

I'm recovered enough to get back to working on this and wanted to hop on here and give you an update. 

• Surveys are prepped and submitted to backerkit for review (~2 business days)
• Once approved, we'll go into a "smoke test" where we send surveys to a random 5% of backers to make sure everything is working properly. (~1 business day)
• If all goes well, the remaining 95% of surveys will be blasted out next week!

The Fire Has Been Sparked!

There are some backers requesting an update and we're here for it! 

With the successful funding of The Spark Necklace™ (Thanks to all of you!), we've been setting up the Pre-Order store, projecting timelines, building out surveys, queuing up orders with our component suppliers, and continuing to test and refine the clasp prototypes.  

Keep an eye on your inboxes for the pledge survey to be sent out by the end of this month.

There have not been many successful necklaces launched on Kickstarter. Coming into this project we had some underlying concerns that this may not be the right platform for a necklace.  But the support here continues to amaze us!  The Spark Necklace™ has not only broken the elusive 6-figure mark but has also more than doubled the previous most funded necklace on Kickstarter.  Thank you!

 LET'S STRETCH

We just dropped into single-digit days remaining (9 days to go!) but want to see how many more people we can reach because there's no such thing as too many capable people in this world!

We secretly launched another new product during this campaign - The Fire Card™.  It has been hidden in the Add-Ons section so you may not have seen it.  It's an idea we've been toying with for years.  A fully waterproof, credit-card-sized tinder you can carry every day. You might even say it's the perfect companion item for the Spark Necklace.   

If the campaign reaches $150,000, we will throw in a FREE Fire Card™ for every backer!

We broke 1,000 Backers!

One of the main strategies of this Kickstarter campaign was to bring our previously relatively unknown niche invention, the fire starter necklace, to a broader audience.

While we cherish our small powerful network of family, friends, and fans, we know there are a lot more folks out there that can benefit from our gear and mission.

So, we are delighted and thankful to be breaking this 1,000 Backer threshold, with mostly new folks. It gives us the opportunity to welcome you to our mission to help tap into the wild capability of individuals through wildly capable gear.

Thanks to everyone who has already joined along for this project. We appreciate each one of you!

Just over a week into this 4 week campaign, and we're already 5x the Goal!

The purpose of this project is more than a "fire starter you carry on your neck", but more, a "fire you carry in your belly."

The Spark is an embodiment.

It's an attitude.

It's a lifestyle.

It's choosing to make damn delicious lemonade when life hands you sour lemons. To stay positive and steadfast in the goal, no matter the obstacles. 

It's for those who carry The Spark.

Life is wild but full of capability.
